Tasting Note:

The fruit for this cuvee comes from five parcels of clay limestone soil in the Corbiere Maritime region. Late ripening Mouvedre from 35 year old vines makes up 65% of the blend, with centenarian Carignan vines accounting for 30% and Grenache the final 5%. Muscular and dense yet bright and light footed, the splendour of old vine Mouvedre takes centre stage in this mulberry and Mediterranean herb scented, salt flecked wine. Impressive stuff, and a poster boy for what Corbières can and should taste like.
