Bernard Burgaud’s one cuvée, a blend of numerous parcels throughout the appellation, is fermented without any stalks and aged in 20% new oak. An absolute glory, one of Bernard’s finest efforts to date. Rich velvety, lovely texture, Victoria plum, forest berry, violet, redcurrant and juicy sweet bramble fruit, this is slick and ripe yet displays great complexity and energy with its bright red fruit acidity, spicy black pepper and subtle hints of saddle leather. Wonderful.
