Tasting Note:

A rare parcel selection blend of 70 percent Mourvèdre with Grenache, Syrah and Counoise making up the balance, the 2015 Hommage shows surprisingly delicate and high-toned floral notes on the nose. On the palate these ethereal, floral berry fruits are joined by intense, silky-smooth dark cherry, kirsch, cassis, black pepper and sandalwood characteristics. Aged, liked Beaucastel, in large oak foudre but bottled 8 months later. Production is very limited, only one “foudre” equating to 5,000 bottles was produced.
