Tasting Note:

From Unang’s highest and oldest Grenache grapes, planted in the 60s at 350 metres above sea level. Here south-east facing vineyards, planted on limestone and sand soils, are divided by thick swathes of oak forest and groves of olives and cherry trees. The Grenache forms the basis of this wine, blended with a little Syrah A silky, dense but airy Grenache, Chateau Unang’s hallmark freshness and elegance come through strongly in this wine. Bursting with cherry and summer berry fruit, infused with notes of garrigue, camphor, and peppercorn, this is complex, sensual and completely alluring. Aged for a year in used oak demi-muid barrels.
