Tasting Note:

Regularly one of the best wines in the appellation, this is certainly true of the 2012. This offers that typical full heartiness of Gigondas alongside the balanced, complexity and mineral edge you get from the high altitude Dentelles vines. This has more structure and power than the Templiers but the mineral character adds sufficient freshness. Floral with sweet red berry and damson fruit; full-bodied, ripe but not at all fatiguing. Extremely impressive. A blend dominated by 70% Grenache with usually 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre from a number of parcels in the rocky late-ripening Dentelles de Montmirail.
