Tasting Note:

Ripe brambly fruit, lush and seductive whilst retaining that hallmark fine-grained Clusel-Roch character. Intense and lively, full-flavoured ripe forest berry fruit, hints of cherry, kirsch, pepper and salt. As fine and toned as ever with a touch more muscle than usual. A Côtes Rôties blend largely from the schist, south-east facing vineyards of the Verenay commune including the lower part of Viaillere, Champon and Le Plan. As ever part whole bunch fermentation has been employed, in fact the stalks were so ripe in 2015 that 70% whole bunches were included. Ageing is in oak barriques for at least 15 months with less than 15% new wood.
