Tasting Note:

Floral brambly flavours, slightly darker fruit than the Cote Rotie blend, hints of dark cherry and touches of herb. Velvety fine and caressing. Suave but not lacking in character or energy. Gloriously beautiful, refreshing Cote Rotie. Once part of the classic Côte-Rôtie blend, La Viaillère is a fine south-facing early ripening vineyard site. Now that Clusel-Roch's vineyards are 29-years-old they are starting to produce outstanding wine and as such Clusel Roch decided, as of the 2009 vintage, to bottle it up as a separate cuvée.
