Tasting Note:

A significant step up on the Domaine’s Crozes cuvées. A lovely mix of dark cassis bramble and loganberry fruit. The palate is brooding but focused, whilst a strong kick of mineral and iodine adds spark and interest. The quality of fruit is very good, there is a clarity of flavour that comes with the brawny, dense mid palate. Also notable is how noble and well-integrated the tannins are, a distinct trend for this Domaine over the last few vintages. They reinforce, not subdue, the fruit, and melt into the body of the wine. Impressive. A blend of three Hermitage parcels, 50% whole bunch fermented, vinified in steel tank, lightly extracted and then aged in 30% new oak large demi muid barrels.
