Tasting Note:

Wonderful aromas of white peach. A beauty, such a fine shape for a Hermitage, this has requisite depth and complexity but its the energy and refinement of this wine that strikes you most. Long, racy flavours of fresh apricot, peach and mirabelle with a kick of citrus rind and stone. Just a single demi-muid barrel was made. This is always a great cuvee but the 2013 is up there with the very best Florent has made. A glorious 100% barrel-fermented Marsanne from a parcel in the clay limestone Maison Blanche vineyard planted in 1944. Being high up on the plateau this is always the last vineyard to be harvested at the Domaine, the 2013 was picked on the 8th October at 13.8 degrees potential alcohol.
