Tasting Note:

A wine that needs a bit of air, closed and brooding initially. Complex notes of limestone, amidst stone fruit white flower and citrus zest. It has presence and structure but is not as immediately opulent as other white Hermitages, but it does have great character, really savoury, a terroir wine. The finish is intense and haunting. A glorious 100% barrel-fermented Marsanne from a parcel in the clay limestone Maison Blanche vineyard planted in 1944. Being high up on the plateau this is always the last vineyard to be harvested at the Domaine.
