Tasting Note:

Clearly the best 1907 Bastien has produced to date. This has it all – depth without heaviness, structure without rusticity. Suave, noble dark and red fruit, a hint of plum, bullace and cherry. Real nerve and spine brings definition and structure to the fine, gently floral fruit. Fluid and composed with a tapering, tightening, energetic finish of minerals and spice. Stunning. A massale selection of 75 year old vines in the high slopes of St Jean de Muzols behind the cellar, that are aged separately.
