From prime parcels in the historic southern communes of Saint-Joseph - Mauves, St Jean de Muzols and Sarras. Characterful, beautifully-weighted St Joseph that offers a fine balance of husky, dark bramble and cassis fruit mixed with higher-pitched granitic inflections of salt, red cherry and sap, with herbs and pepper completing the picture. Well-proportioned and full of character and snap. Aged for a year in used oak barrel.
