Tasting Note:

Made in the traditional way, entirely with whole bunches, fermented and aged in large old oak foudres the 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape tradition contains 65 % Grenache ( 5% less than usual) 15% Mourvedre, 12% Syrah and the rest is made up of Counoise, Cinsault and white varieties. There was no Felix made in 2014, all of the old vines Mourvedre has gone into this blend, which has added tremendous class and complexity to the wine. This offers wonderfully silky, open, sweet and spicy berry flavours, notes of summer berry, hedgerow fruit, garrigue, wild herb, salt and pepper.
