Tasting Note:

Ripe, spicy, wild forest and hedgerow fruits, notes of blackthorn, plum, bramble, leather, garrigue herb and pepper, powerful and wholesome but does not overwhelm, plenty of clear expressive fruit to counterbalance the complex savoury characteristics. Hearty and and well balanced. Made in the traditional way, entirely with whole bunches, fermented and aged in large old oak foudres the 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape tradition contains 70 % Grenache 10% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah and the rest is made up of Counoise, Cinsault and white varieties.
