Tasting Note:

A blend that comprises 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre and never more than 10% Syrah. The wine is aged for a year in large oak vats before a light fining and then bottling without filtration. The aromas are complex and enticing; on the palate there is a typically Clos des Papes slickness with the power and freshness of the vintage in abundance. This is of the ilk of 2007 and 2009; dense notes of autumn fruit, black cherry, bramble, kirsch and loganberry with smouldering hints of liquorice and clove spices. Dense, heady
and smothered with ample ripe fruits.
