Tasting Note:

A totally different profile to Beaucastel, a firmer darker wine with crisp, gripping tannins. Austere and mineral at first but there is a precision and fineness to the structure here, supporting the bramble and black cherry fruit, as well as great energy and snap. From a ten-hectare Clos of old-vine Grenache planted on sand and limestone soils. Vinified with whole bunches. A blend of 85% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre
