Tasting Note:

A more complex and serious Côte Rôtie blend than usual thanks to the addition of Côte Blonde, but paradoxically it is also incredibly silky, open and engaging, very much features of this highly seductive 2014 vintage. Ripe small dark berry flavours, silky sweet and sensual cassis notes with more brooding, savoury undertones of mineral graphite and smoke. Harmonious,even-keeled but with underlying strength. René was not 100% happy with La Landonne so this has been excluded and sold off in bulk. Aged in 10% new oak in large demi muid barrels.
