Tasting Note:

Explosive but super tight-grained almost chalky tannins that recall the great Barolos of Serralunga. This crisp, fine tannic structure is mixed with broad, sweet floral, cherry blossom and black cherry fruit with sweeter suggestions of creme de mure. Bags of mid-palate fruit and savoury complexity to melt into the tannins. Less elegant than the 2016 but full, generous and thoroughly accomplished. Fermented with 100% whole bunches and aged in large demi-muid casks, a maximum of 10% of which are new.
