Tasting Note:

Intense, small dark fruits tightly-wrapped in a finely-chiselled tannic framework. The cassis and bramble notes are rich and velvety, and are coupled with a strong limestone minerality and mouth-cleansing chalkiness. The mineral component adds some coolness and composure to the super ripe dark berry flavours. Long, unswerving and stylish. A plot of 45yo vines planted on whiter, more limestone soils than the La Landonne, giving a more strict style of wine but with finer-cut tannins and shape. Fermented with 100% whole bunches and aged in large demi-muid casks, a maximum of 10% of which are new.
