Tasting Note:

100% Sémillon. Located 330-360m above sea level in Franschoek. An old field selection of Sémillon Gris, Rose and Blanc, planted in 1936. In general in the Cape there is a tight picking window, especially in a warm year, and Chris only came to understand in 2015 that it would be better to wait a few extra days and go for full ripeness with the Sémillon (and thus a wider spectrum of flavours) as it has naturally thicker skins. Raised in 5th fill barrels. A blend of two parcels: one on the top of the slope for power and the other mid-slope for finesse.
