Tasting Note:

The main David & Nadia Chenin Blanc is the perfect all-rounder. A blend of seven vineyards, predominantly granite based, but with some shale and schist from the east, clay rich soils from the north and iron rich soils from the west of the Swartland, with plantings ranging from 1962-1984, it is a true representation of the varied terroirs of the Swartland. The wine has a Certified Heritage Vineyards (CHV) seal and forms part of the Old Vine Project (OVP). Beautiful ripe, zingy golden apples and a tense fine boned acidity weaves its way through a succulent, fleshy but tensile body. Hints of nuts and an almost ripe, mature Chablis edge. Bold but beautiful. 7 vineyards, 4 on the Paardeberg and for the first time it includes 10%-15% of frut from the top part of Skaliekop where the soils transitions from shale to granite.
