Tasting Note:

A brambly, black raspberry and mint inflected wine with a charge of sweet red and black fruit and wild spices, delicately handled with lots of freshness. The product of a small, concentrated vintage, Elpidios always spends an extra year in bottle prior to release. Like the 2015, 2016 is Carignan dominated, arriving finally as a blend of 34% Carignan, 33% Syrah, 14% Cinsault, 14% Pinotage and 5%Grenache fermented with approximately 50% whole bunches and aged in used oak for 12 months.
