Tasting Note:

An early picked, dry-farmed Pinotage that is changing the hearts and minds of the many Pinotage detractors. From the higher vines of the Paardeberg, cold-soaked and partially destemmed but with the inclusion of whole berries in the fermenters to encourage a semi-carbonic effect, which brings freshness, just one punch down a day and bottled after a year of aging. The tannins are drier than the other wines, a consequence of Pinotage’s thicker skins, but yet this is a bright and juicy wine that is one of the flagship examples in the “new wave” movement.
