Grape Variety:

Chenin Blanc

Mullineux, Granite, Chenin Blanc, 2018

Tasting Note:

Sourced from two dry-farmed vineyards on the Paardeberg on very deep decomposed granite soils, averaging 42 years old. Whole bunch pressed and fermented in barrel with natural yeasts and kept on its lees until Spring. The barrels are racked and blended just before the harvest, bottled unfiltered and unfined, spending a total of 11 months in 3rd and 4th fill French oak barrels. Profound and yet succulent with sweet spices, grapefruit, sappy saline notes and fine citrus fruit. A beautiful, textured, restrained Chenin that is already enormously attractive but with everything in place for a long life ahead.
