Tasting Note:

Always the most muscular of the terroir wines, the Schist Syrah exudes presence and personality. Deeper more savoury and introverted on the nose with spicy black fruit and earthy tones. Fuller and more structured on the palate with tense fine grained tannins and bags of freshness. Beautifully enveloping and intense. Very long on the finish. The perfect wine to pair with robust, meaty options. Aged for 12 months in 500L French barrels, 25% of which were new, followed by 9 months in large foudre.
