Chenin Blanc, APOI, 2023

The debut Always Present Often Invisible (APOI) has a light, racy and vital feel with a clear stony, salty and herbal kick. Light on its feet with great persistence and a long, detailed finish. A single vineyard in Olifantsrivier, 3 hours to the north of the Swartland, where the soils are a deep red sandstone and clay underlying, 30km from the west coast waters. Jolandie’s grandparents used to farm in the region, so it is an area close to her heart and, incidentally, one of growing significance. Just 600 bottles produced.
