Sierra de Gredos

Grape Variety:

Molino Quemado, Vinos de Madrid, 2018

Tasting Note:

Never have we tasted such a complex and yet open Molino Quemado. Normally this plot exudes concentrated red fruit, salt and herbs, and although all those are present this year they have ratcheted up a notch with a more exotic aromatic profile, sweeter tannins and a zippy, trembling acidity. This is a seriously accomplished and delicious wine that will continue to improve in bottle, we’d suggest, for at least another ten years. Produced from a one hectare single block of 80 year old vines, production is limited to 2 x 500L barrels, or 1200bts. The rest is declassified in to Tierra de Luna. Aged for 15 months in used oak.
