Tasting Note:

A village wine produced from a blend of 20-80 year old vineyards at 550-600m elevation in the village of Avalos in Rioja Alavesa. Predominantly Tempranillo with a smaller proportion of Graciano, the wines were aged for 13 months in neutral 500L French casks. Crisp, invigorating dark fruit with a lovely fresh acidity, plummy red fruit and a herbal twist on the finish. Lots of character here for the money and a wine that will drink well on release.
