Tasting Note:

A 100% Tinta de Toro from pre-Phylloxera vines that yields a mere 10 hl/ha, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in new French oak vats and then is racked into new French oak barriques where it spends an average 18 months. Despite all of this oak it is only marginally perceptible on the palate. This is really something else, a great wine not just a great Toro, this leaves you speechless. Very very intense yet so silky and lively, the flavours dance across the palate whilst coating it totally in glossy, fine tannins. Floral violet and fruit blossom notes. Suave, sensual flavours of plum, damson, bramble, cherry blueberry and fruit liqueur with a cooling mineral component and earthiness, glorious.
