'Another 1,000-case cuvee from the owners of Chateau Lafleur in Pomerol, this is a seductive, round, generous wine with notes of kirsch liqueur intermixed with lavender and hints of anise and spice box. Fruity and seriously endowed, this is a pretty wine to drink over the next 5-6 years'. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate #205
"G" de Guinaudeau is owned by Sylvie and Jacques Guinaudeau, who own the legendary Château Lafleur in Pomerol. They also count among their holdings, the Bordeaux wine property Château Grand Village, which is used as the home base for the Guinaudeau family. 2009 marked the debut vintage for "G" de Guinaudeau. The Bordeaux vineyard, which is located in the Fronsac appellation is planted to 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. The terroir is a slope with clay and limestone that enjoys a north to south exposure. The soils are similar to those found in St. Emilion. The wines of "G" de Guinaudeau are open, round and fruity. The forward, quite modern style makes these wines accessible at an early age.
