Pithon-Paillé was created in 2008 by Isabelle and Jo Pithon and, Wendy and Joseph Paillé. When Jo and Isabelle met in 1990, Joseph, the son of Isabelle, was 5 years old and already had a passion to become a wine grower.
Their estate of 13 hectares (32 acres) is certified organic by Qualité France, and consist of 11 hectares (27 acres) of Chenin Blanc and 2 hectares (5 acres) of Cabernet franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Groslot. They produce wine with AOC (Appelation Origin Controlee) on Anjou blanc, Anjou Rouge, Savennieres, Coteaux du Layon and Quarts des Chaume. (www.pithon-paille.com)
