95 point Delaforce’s Quinta da Corte
‘Tis a bit early to be bringing out the mistletoe and holly, but we have a Port offer that has Christmas written all over it. The somewhat overlooked 1997 vintage is really beginning to show its class, and anyone looking for exceptional value, the single quinta wines from this year are just the ticket. We have found an excellent parcel of Delaforce’s Quinta da Corte at just £70 per half dozen in bond. This 95 point wine is really hitting its straps, so if you have a weakness for this wonderful elixir, grab a case or two for the cellar!
‘Wonderful aromas of blackberry, lilac and a bit of stems. Full-bodied, with silky tannins, medium sweetness and a long finish. Solid. Needs a little time still. Seems to be coming together now. '77/'85/'97 blind Port retrospective. Best after 2008. 3,100 cases made. 95 Points’. James Suckling, Wine Spectator
