So often a Justerini & Brooks staff pick, we are thrilled that Mas Martinet’s Menut 2015 has been made “Wine of the Week” by Julia Harding MW of www.JancisRobinson.com. As the entry-point wine of the estate, Menut is the perfect introduction to Priorat, with a deft balance of deep fruit, wild flowers, bruleed spices and an irresistible “rocky complexity” enveloping flavours of slate, sweet earth and finely crushed rock salt.

Those who’ve encountered the thoughtful, tiny-production single crus from Mas Martinet will appreciate the Perez style; combining depth and power with attentive, finely tuned flavours. Those bottles are best cellared for a decade or more. Menut, on the other hand, is an enchanting, vibrant wine for drinking and enjoying now. Pure pleasure laced with real Priorat panache.
