Burgundy 2016: Last Chance Saloon!

Burgundy 2016: Last Chance Saloon!
Much has been said of the tiny quantities available in Burgundy 2016. Suffice it to say, allocations have never been more difficult, and we thank our customers for bearing with us. Amidst the frenzy, we are delighted to highlight a selection of wines where we still have limited stocks available. If you missed out on the original offer, this might be your last chance to secure a case or two!

Our three white recommendations come in the form of Dominique Lafon’s classy Vire Clesse and a brace of wines from the re-born Chateau de Meursault. Justerini & Brooks favourite Bourgogne Terroir d’Exception is a Meursault Perrieres in all but name, and Meursault Charmes Dessus is a top premier cru, located high on the slope. Both are worthy of attention. A further three wines each from the Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune bring things to a close, including a Bourgogne Rouge from Meo Camuzet Freres et Soeurs and delicious villages level wines from both Tollot Beaut and Chateau de Marsannay. We are pleased also to have a very limited amount of red premier crus still available including Volnay Caillerets from Pousse d’Or, Joseph Drouhin’s Clos des Mouches Rouge and a fabulous Nuits Pruliers from star producer Jean Grivot.
