Cambus 40 Year Old

Cambus 40 Year Old
Today we are delighted to present Cambus 40 year-old, a truly unique single-grain whisky. Bottled in 2016, there are just 1,812 individually numbered bottles available for the global whisky market. Justerini & Brooks is delighted to have secured an allocation of this historic age-statement release, destined for the cellars of the world’s pre-eminent rare whisky collectors. Located in the Scottish Lowlands, the doors closed in 1993 and the Cambus distillery fell silent. Originally founded in 1806 as a malt-whisky distillery before turning its hand to grain in 1837, in its heyday, Cambus was a prime source of grain for blending. Pot-distilled and kept aside from 99.9% of the output, single-grain expressions are unicorns in the world of whisky, the pinnacle of quality, and Cambus is at the top. Matured in 500L American oak barrels for forty years, it is the first age-statement release since the distillery closed, the oldest ever bottling of Cambus, and the best in its near 200 year history. This is an exceptionally rare offer not to be missed.
