Purchased by the Chanel group in 2019 (the team behind the world-renowned Château Canon and Rauzan-Segla), Domaine de l’Ile is to our mind, one of the very best bottles of pink on the market; breezy enough to be enjoyed with just the sunshine for company, serious enough to partner with food.
Situated on the picturesque island of Porquerolles, a National Park Nature Reserve just off the Côte d’Azur in the South of France, it is produced under the guidance of super-star duo Thomas Duclos and Nicolas Audebert – two men with the most midas-like touches. A blend of Syrah, Grenache, Rolle, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Tibouren, this is a beautifully crisp, organic Provençale rosé. The 2021 was electric when launched, and is now bursting with aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrants, white peach and grapefruit peel. It is incredibly refreshing on the pallet with a mouth-watering salinity on the finish.
One sip and you’ll be whisked off to the white sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters of this beautiful island.
