Domaine Louis Remy
27 May 2016

Accessibly priced, drinking Grand Cru Burgundy? A scarce as hens' teeth you might say. Domaine Remy is a rare bird indeed. A tiny Burgundian estate we have proudly followed for over ten years. Since Chantal Remy’s mother died in 2008 this already small domaine reduced in size from 4.5ha to a microscopic 1.5ha as Napoleonic inheritance laws kicked in. This is an unwaveringly traditional domaine producing delicate, ripe, red Burgundies that offer enormous pleasure at the table. They have always been a great source of older vintages, too, though these are becoming ever harder to find – production of Latricieres-Chambertin and Clos de la Roche are now seldom more than 4 barrels each. We are delighted to offer this parcel, our pick of the ever-dwindling library stock recently released by the Remy family.

Wines are currently abroad and will be shipped within the next two months.
