Egly Ouriet New Releases
29 October 2019

Francis Egly took control of the family estate in 1982 and has since grown it from a domaine concerned primarily with selling fruit to one that is regarded as one of the finest grower Champagne houses in the entire region. Many people cite his exceptional cuvee ‘Les Crayeres’ as Champagne’s finest Blanc de Noirs; presented with a bottle of this rare cuvee, from vines planted in 1946 on profoundly deep chalk, you would be hard pressed to disagree.

Situated in Ambonnay, the Egly-Ouriet range is born from almost 10 hectares of Grand Cru Vineyards of an average age of 40 years old. The heart of the estate lies in Ambonnay, with small holdings in Verzenay and Bouzy, along with two hectares of Pinot Meunier vines in the village of Vrigny.
