Introducing the exceptional 2019 vintage - A webinar with Nigel Greening of Felton Road
19 September 2020
Since purchasing Felton Road in 2000 owner Nigel Greening has overseen an incredible revolution at the estate, including an early move to organic and, later, biodynamic viticulture. Years of rigorous but environmentally respectful viticultural practices and sensitive, hands-off winemaking has elevated them to near legendary status in New Zealand fine wine circles. In the process of this meteoric rise, they have also become a worldwide fine wine beacon of sustainability.

We are delighted to welcome Nigel to this Justerini & Brooks Webinar, who will be sharing his thoughts on his most exciting vintage release yet, 2019. In his own words ““The vintage is, we believe, a benchmark for us. The Bannockburn Pinot and Chardonnay both possess a level of concentration and complexity that are without precedent. The vintage strength runs right through the range and we feel excited to be able to offer such a vintage in these troubled times.”
The 2019 vintage will be the subject of a forthcoming two part release, one later this month and one in November. In the meantime If you wish to purchase some Felton Road wines to taste alongside Nigel’s Webinar, then see below a selection of 2018s we have available for immediate delivery.
2018 was a ripe, precocious harvest yielding very good wines akin to 2008 in style - though arguably much better given the ever-increasing strides in quality the dynamic Felton Road winemaking team have achieved over the last ten years. Attractive, easy to enjoy wines that reflect a place and a vintage.
