The legacy of Johnnie Walker now spans more than two centuries – two hundred years of dynamic innovation, exemplary craftsmanship and unfailing commitment to quality. In 1887 when the Walker family’s empire was expanding at a rate of knots, Alexander Walker famously stated “we are determined to make our whisky, so far as quality is concerned, of such a standard that nothing in the market shall come before it”. The Master Blenders at Walker continue to embrace this philosophy. Their limited-edition Blue Label Ghost & Rare range exemplifies this commitment to excellence and progress.
These latest expressions have been meticulously crafted to combine no fewer than eight hand selected whiskies from across all four corners of Scotland. Significantly, three originate from closed, or ‘ghost’ distilleries. The Blue Label Ghost & Rare collection offers enthusiasts an exceptional opportunity to sample whisky from these diminishing stocks.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare Glenury Royal
This release features whisky from the Glenury Royal distillery, which closed in 1985. This Scotch is flawlessly combined with, amongst others, ghost whiskies from Pittyvaich and Cambus. The outcome is a sumptuous whisky, full of ripe orchard fruit and sweet butterscotch, which recalls a fresh tarte Tatin with clotted cream.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare Pittyvaich
Pittyvaich was closed after just 18 years of production. This unique Johnnie Walker expression features some of that rare, remaining Scotch at its heart, expertly intertwined with fellow ghosts, Port Dundas and Carsebridge, to form this perfectly balanced luxury blend. Granny Smith apple notes abound with warming, Christmas spice aroma.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare Port Dundas
The fifth and most recent release in the G&R limited edition range and is the inaugural blend to be masterminded by Dr Emma Walker, the first female Master Blender in Johnnie Walker history. This expression showcases the exquisitely creamy, vanilla rich smoothness that was so synonymous with the whisky produced by this closed distillery.
We recommend taking advantage of these limited-edition releases for immediate enjoyment, sharing with friends, or as the perfect gift for the connoisseur in your family.
