The subject of our next edition of the Justerini & Brooks Masters' Series is none other than Dominique Lafon, world-renowned winemaker and one of our most long-standing Burgundy suppliers. Each of the Masters series throws a spotlight on affordable, everyday drinking wines from one of the world’s greatest winemakers. The famous adage that the best producers can trump region, appellation and vintage is often true, and our Masters’ Series will prove that enjoying wines from legendary producers is a pleasure that is open to all. In this latest instalment Dominique will be walking us through four very different, charismatic Héritiers du Comte Lafon wines from the 2018 vintage, revealing the magic of the Mâconnais and why he felt so drawn to the region back in 1999.

For several decades Domaine des Comtes Lafon has been one of Meursault’s flag bearers. Much of the Domaine’s standing and reputation is owed to current steward Dominique Lafon whose skill, passion and relentless drive have resulted in many truly memorable, profound examples of White Burgundy. Over the last twenty years Dominique has been applying the same energy and know-how in the Mâconnais and is proving that great things are possible there, too….
