Proper Pauillac

Proper Pauillac
For those who missed out on the stunning 2016 Lynch, or for those who perhaps don’t have the patience to wait for the 2016, we are delighted to offer a superb parcel of 2011 Lynch Bages. The 2011s in general are beginning to shed their tannins, and the mid-palate fruit is beginning to shine through.

Lynch 2011 has a beautiful and quintessential Pauillac bouquet of clear cassis, violets and graphite. It really is an alluring aromatic profile that draws one in to the glass. On the palate, the sweet berry fruit is just beginning to emerge. There is still quite a dark, brooding, earthy character, very much in the Lynch mould – it is a serious wine with real gravitas, reflecting the dry growing season. We fully expect the mid-palate fruit to develop and harmonise with the deep, structured style and develop into a beautiful Lynch.

At £780 per case, this is one of the cheapest cases of Lynch Bages on the market, and it looks like it’ll have a long and distinguished life ahead.
