Talisker Bodega 41 Year Old: Where the wilds of Skye meet the warmth of Spain
We are delighted to present one of the oldest single malts ever to have been released from this remote distillery, the Talisker Bodega 41 Year Old. An extraordinary liquid, that has been expertly finished in Manzanilla Sherry casks from Delgado Zuleta, the oldest Sherry producer in the famed Sherry Triangle.

For nearly 200 years Talisker has been producing consistently fine whiskies. Today, this iconic distillery announces the second release from their Bodega series, the 1978 41 Year Old. Just 2,000 bottles of this outstanding liquid are available globally. Retaining the unmistakable character of Talisker, it combines the wilds of Skye and the warmth of Spain. The Sherry experts from Delgado Zuleta, with whom Talisker had been trading in the 1900s, hand-picked only six exceptional casks for finishing, that once held the Bodega’s flagship wine La Goya, a very fine Manzanilla aged in casks more than a century old. The result is a remarkably rich whisky. The nose carries the sweet fruitiness of sultanas and orange peel framed by sandalwood, with a tang of salty sea air and smoky raw sugar. On the palate, there is a fine balance between sweetness and smoke. It is generously warming and sustained on the finish, with a drying, softly smoky conclusion.

Much like the 40-year-old first release in the Talisker Bodega series, the exquisite golden spirit lies in a hand crafted bottle that comes housed in a special Sherry-oak casing to evoke many stages of the whisky’s history and journey.
