The Spirit of Speyside

Cragganmore is a beautiful, picture post-card distillery complete with white wash walls and large black and gold entrance gates. This is a highly complex malt with layers of flavour to be explored. Many consider it to be the definitive Speyside Malt.
Founded by Big John Smith, who was said to be one of the finest and most experienced distillers of his day; an understandable title when we consider that he was the managing director of Macallan, Glenlivet and Wishaw distilleries. A pioneering flat-top pot still design creates the sweetest, most complex of malt whiskies. With layer upon layer of fruity, honeyed notes, and of course the famous fruit cake and toffee flavours. Cragganmore produces whiskies that are mature, serious, and exceptionally intriguing. With demand outstripping widespread supply, this is a collector’s favourite.
We’ve selected three of our favourite Cragganmores for today’s offer: A 25 year old that is full of exciting and evocative aromas and flavours - a wonderful balance between sweet and dry, with complexity and depth; a limited edition 20 year old natural cask strength single malt filled in 1988, a run of just 3,372 individually numbered bottles, with a creamy-smooth texture, and a taste that is rich and sweet; and a Special Release from 2016 - a limited edition, natural cask strength single malt from three cask types chosen for flavour alone: both refill & rejuvenated American Oak hogsheads and ex-bodega European Oak butts - cedary and aromatic, yet also rich and inviting.
