The times they are a-changin'

In late February, the cream of Spain’s new wave winemaking scene came together in London to celebrate the changes underway in all four corners (and islands) of this vast wine producing country. In an effort to leave the famously glossy international reds behind them, this small, but mightily ambitious group of producers, known as the Vinateros, demonstrated that there is real excitement and interest in Spain’s indigenous grape varieties, combined with rich access to truly exceptional, albeit extremely labour-intensive vineyard sites.
