Cladach, 2018 Release

Cladach, a Gaelic word meaning Shoreline, is the first-ever master blend of whiskies from six fine coastal single malt distilleries: Caol Ila, Clynelish, Lagavulin, Oban, Inchgower and Talisker. A gloriously
pleasing and affirming whisky that captures the character of coastal malts perfectly.

A rich and absorbing mouthfeel. Instantly pleasing and moreish. The taste matches the nose: salty after a lightly sweet start, with faint fruity and oily notes. A smoky warmth, rich in honey and citrus notes, suffuses the palate. Then sweet, grainy, caramel notes anticipate soft fresh mint and liquorice into the finish.

Contains Sulphites.

Appellation: Blended Scotch Whisky

Around 90% of bottles of Scotch whisky sold globally are blends – a mix of single malt and grain whiskies. Whilst not as highly regarded as single malts or even single grain whiskies, these blends are the backbone of the industry and the products of what is basically the liquid version of alchemy: the creation of something precious and incredible from a combination of individual - arguably "lesser" - components.
