1. Where will my wines be physically located?

Octavian Wines Services Ltd operates several storage warehouses. Cellarers stores the wines at the address below. Should you wish to have your goods transferred to storage with Cellarers, please instruct your merchant to use this address and reference your account number with us.

2. Is my wine insured?

All wines stored with Cellarers are insured to their full current market value.

3. How can I arrange delivery of my wines from storage?

For our customers’ security, deliveries to your billing address can be arranged over the telephone quoting your account number within our opening hours (09:00 to 17:00 weekdays).

Deliveries to any address other than to you billing address must be submitted in writing; either by post or from an email address that is registered with the account holder.

You can also log into your Personal Cellar online and arrange delivery of your wines at the click of a button.

4. What happens once I have requested delivery?

We acknowledge all written delivery requests by the end of the next working day.

Orders submitted after 13:00 will be treated as orders submitted on the next date. We are able to offer next day and two days delivery within M25 and outside M25, respectively for nearly all mainland UK addresses.

5. How much will my delivery cost?

Standard UK deliveries are subject to an £18 charge, including deliveries to the other UK bonded warehouses.

If your delivery requires palletisation or forklift services, this will be subject to a variable surcharge, please contact our Cellarers team for further details.

6. How can I arrange the export/delivery of my wine overseas?

Our service of excellence extends to our fine wine shippers who ensure high quality wine shipping. Among other services our partners provide; full repackaging services, door to door air freight and courier express services, climate and humidity controlled storage and scheduled refrigeration consolidation services.

The export charges are competitive and available upon request from our customer services team.

7. Will you provide VAT refund forms if I take the wines to the airport myself?

We will arrange for the VAT refund forms to be sent along with the wines. Please arrange this in advance when placing your delivery order. This service is free of charge. The VAT Refund form with UK customs stamp needs to be returned to J&B no later than 30 days after departure date from the UK.

8. When will I be charged for storing wines?

According to our terms and conditions, clients are charged for their stock holdings on a pro-rata basis. The charge is applied retrospectively each July or whenever the final case is despatched from your account. Our annual charge is £12.96 for units above 4.5L and £8.50 for units less than 4.5L, including VAT and any changes will be made public with due notice once per year, if applicable.

9. Do storage charge discounts apply on half-cases and single bottles?

The minimum rental unit is a 9L case, i.e. there is no discount on storing a case of 6x75cl. However two cases of 6x75cl of the same wine across all parameters will be charged one annual rate.

10. What is my rental invoice and why does it list the wines that were delivered long ago?

Your rental invoice differs from your stock statement because it reflects stock movements during the previous twelve months. Each line on your rental invoice will have a start and an end date.

11. Can I visit the storage facilities to view my cellar?

Visits to Octavian are possible but must be arranged in advance due to high security measures. There is no photography on the premises but Cellarers will provide condition reports for any cases held in your account.

12. How can I reach Cellarers to discuss my account and any queries?
