INTRODUCING THE COUTURE BLEND

Crafted in Johnnie Walker Vault, the Couture Blend is the centerpiece to Rousteing's collaboration, and follows the success of Couture Expression: the first release of rare and exquisite whiskies from Dr. Walker and Rousteing from the Johnnie Walker Vault.

This bold and diverse blend was crafted using 10 exceptional whiskies from the renowned Johnnie Walker Vault, including rare and experimental expressions sourced from both long-closed distilleries and contemporary innovators, resulting in a whisky that masterfully blends tradition with innovation.

The Couture Blend launches at a significant moment for Rousteing: his 40th birthday – a milestone he describes as “entering a new chapter with wisdom, freedom and serenity”. To celebrate this milestone and pay homage to Rousteing’s personal journey of progress, Dr. Walker included several whiskies of at least 40 years old in the blend, layering them with experimental and rare whiskies – creating an interesting tension of flavor and styles.

For this truly unique and celebratory blend, Dr. Walker selected ghost whiskies from long-closed distilleries such as Port Dundas and Caledonian to tell a story of tradition, heritage and rarity. Around these she layered trailblazing whiskies from the 80s and 90s, including expressions from Benrinnes, Cragganmore and Cameronbridge. Finally, she chose contemporary expressions from the last two decades which experiment with process and finishes, including malts from Cardhu, Roseisle and Teaninich.

Encased in an architecturally stunning crystal decanter, designed by Rousteing himself, the whisky's presentation is a modern clash of heritage and style, echoing Rousteing’s bold signature tailoring and architectural aesthetic in design, whilst staying true to Johnnie Walker. With only 1,500 individually numbered decanters available, this masterpiece is a true collector's item.

A celebration of renewal and transformation, Spring brings brightness drawn from a selection of rare whiskies including a 1985 Cragganmore, a rarely seen 1977 Caledonian and minerality from a treasured 1978 Port Ellen. An ode to sunshine, Summer oozes tropical fruit notes that come from a selection of rare whiskies including an experimental Cardhu Wine Cask Finish, and a 1990 Clynelish wrapped in the richness of 1988 Benrinnes. Each Couture blend starts with a luxurious 'heart', featuring ghost whiskies from Brora and Port Dundas.

A feeling of self-reflection and the relentless pursuit of excellence, Fall has an experimental Teaninich malt, which is layered with smoke from the 1978 Port Ellen. Each Couture blend starts with a luxurious 'heart', featuring ghost whiskies from Brora and Port Dundas.

Reflecting ‘coming home’ and the warmth of sharing time and moments with family and friends, this Winter is the richest of the four, dialling up Islay malts from Port Ellen and Brora with a mulled wine sweetness from the 1988 Benrinnes.
