Juicy, with bounce and lift. High perfume, easy to enjoy, unfussy autumnal fruits but with the trace of slate tannins that keeps you clearly on the Left Bank. A lovely balance here. Château de Raux in Haut-Médoc bought in 2023 and has been include in Madame de Beaucaillou for the last few years, great terroir. One of earliest harvests on record, comparable to 1945, but also one of the longest in terms of start and finish, at around three weeks, from September 10 to 23. 3.6pH, 25% new aok
The 2025 Madame de Beaucaillou is absolutely delicious. Bright and fresh in the glass, Madame captures all the vibrancy of this distinctive vintage. Red-toned fruit, blood orange, chalk and mint are beautifully delineated. Picking early ahead of the rains yielded an especially taut, nervy red that is quite contemporary in style and likely to find many fans. Cabernet Sauvignon is quite prominent in the blend this year.
