Echo de Lynch Bages, Pauillac, 2017

Echo feels more vibrant and energetic (than Haut Batailley) with plenty of purple fruit, cooling plums, mixed with fennel, heather and dried herbs. There's lots of potential here and definition, but it will need some time to resolve and find harmony. Not in the top echelon of second wines this year, but a very solid performance. 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
