Echo de Lynch Bages, Pauillac, 2017

Lynch Bages' second wine is very much a chip off the old block in 2025. There's not the grandeur and structure of its big brother, but there's a clear familial link. Gravelly, brambly fruit, cassis and graphite, this is a muscular Echo, which will require a little patience. Lots of extract here with exuberant high-toned cherries and blackcurrant sustained by lots of well-mannered tannins.
